Sept: 26: Car Accident




So on the way home from our Queens Park trip we come across this accident on the 401. We arrived on the scene before authorities and started taking pictures. Nobody was injured in the accident. This made the trip just a little bit more worth while.

Sept 26: OCAP anti-poverty protest








I was sitting in editing class at 9:15 in Belleville when we found out about this protest. It was an anti-poverty protest to raise minimum wage, welfare rates and reduce rent . I consulted with classmates Ben and Jess and we made the trip to Queens Park in Toronto. Truthfully, I was hoping for tear gas, pepper spray and riot police, but that was not the case. It was quite a peaceful protest, but still think i found a few nice shots.

Sept 25: Lancer vs. Seneca Rugby

Loyalist Lancers varsity faced off against Seneca at Lancer Field.

Sept 25: Lancers vs. Seneca Girl Soccer




The Loyalist Lancer varsity girls took the field against Seneca at Loyalist on Tuesday afternoon. The Lancers were over powered by Seneca, losing 5-1.

Sept 22: Bulls vs. Generals OHL hockey






After coming off a four point opening night, John Tavares (91) and the Oshawa Generals head to Belleville for the Bulls’ home opener. The Generals jumped out to a 4-0 lead, but the Bulls answered with 3 goals. The Generals added the insurance marker to win 5-3.

Sept 22: Silhouette Shot


I was just strolling around downtown Belleville looking for pictures and saw this bridge. I wanted to be a little creative so I exposed for the sky to silhouette the subject.

Sept 20: Centennial vs Quinte Football









Thursday afternoon was the season opener for last year's champions Centennial Chargers and their opponent, the Quinte Saints. Centennial had control for most of the game, but due to a few late game offensive breakdowns, the Saints were in the game right till the end. The Chargers were able to come out on top 14-6 at Bay of Quinte Secondary School.

Sept 15: UofT vs. Laurier Football






The Uof T Varsity Blues got hammered by the Laurier Golden Hawks 53-10 at Varsity Stadium in Toronto. Heavy rains made for some sloppy playing conditions in the first half, not to mention a wet camera and cold hands.

Sept 18: John Tory Visits Belleville







John Tory the PC parties’ representative for Ontario, takes the time to address questions about his campaign on Sept. 18 with Prince Edward-Hastings County PC candidate Eric DenOuden. Belleville was the second destination of Tory’s whirlwind tour that also included stops in Brockville and Pickering.

Sept 18: West Moira Orchards








I Went out to look for a feature picture and came across West Moira Orchards, more importantly, Kurt Kaiser, the farmer whom I tagged along with for an afternoon. Went for a tractor ride and ate some of the best grapes of my life.

Sept 19: Loyalist vs. Fleming V-Ball

Loyalist Lancers took on the Fleming Knights at Loyalist College in Belleville. The Lancers dominated the matches, as they won in three straight games.
